5 Natural Acne Treatments That Work Well and Won’t Break The Bank

Today I want to share 5 different acne treatment options with you. There are plenty of expensive acne treatments on the market today. Some work for a while, some don’t, but that’s not what this blog post is about. Instead I want to share some quite effective natural treatment options with you.

1) Watch What You Eat And Drink
The most important step towards clearer skin is to drink plenty of water. That by itself will improve your skin and your overall health. Keep track of what you are eating and drinking and see if you can find a correlation between those foods and your acne outbreaks. Try not to indulge on them (except maybe on rare occasions).

2) Sunshine
Another very simple but extremely effective thing to do is to stick your face in the sun once a day. Try to get at least 15 minutes of sunshine a day. This will cause your body to make plenty of Vitamin D and it is good for your skin as well.

3) Drinking Green Tea
Green tea has been shown to improve acne. The science community things that the phytochemicals and anti-oxidants in the tea give it is medical benefits. Brew a few cups a day and drink it right away for best results. Do not sweeten your tea as sugar and honey will render some of these helpful compounds ineffective.

4) Aloe Vera And Tea Tree Oil
Combine tea tree oil and aloe vera gel and apply this mixture to your clean face daily. Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties and the gel made from the aloe plant will reduce swelling and redness.

5) Vinegar And Baking Soda
Last but not least, here are two more homemade treatment options. While you are suffering from an acne breakout, use vinegar like a toner a few times a day. It will help clear up the acne fast. After your acne breakout is healed, apply a baking soda mask to your face, neck and shoulders. To make it just mix the soda with a bit of water. I usually let mine soak in for about 10 minutes before splashing water on my face until all the baking soda is removed. You can make this mask a few times per week. Your acne will likely be greatly reduced because the baking soda does a good job of restoring the ph balance.
