Ladies Designer Clothes Are Still In Demand Despite The Poor Economy

by skwriter on August 1, 2010

We know that women like to spend money on clothes, but recent reports suggest that this desire to spend money on designer items, such as ladies designer clothes, is continuing, despite the impact of the recession. This gives us clear indications that some women are not prepared to restrict their spend despite potential financial worries.

So why the buoyant fashion market? And how are women affording to spend money on ladies designer clothes in an economy that is struggling from the very top right to the very bottom. The reason is quite simple – women are focussing on their priorities and quality of life, viewing shopping as an essential part of that. Women don’t want to give up spending on the good things even if the UK is in record debt. Spending money on ladies designer clothes is just part and parcel of their priorities and if they didn’t treat themselves every now and then, the depression really would set in.

It is certainly expected that there will be a large number of people very much against this kind of frivolous spending on things like designer clothes, especially when there are many families struggling financially right now. Of course, these women that have the money to spend are not unaffected by the recession and the threat of job cuts, it is simply that they value spending money on ladies designer clothes just as much as the weekly food shop, for example. The women that are still spending love fashion so much that they won’t let something like the recession get in the way of their spending habits!

It should be noted, however, that if we face a double dip recession then women may have to adjust their spending habits slightly, but we will wait and see if that happens.
